Fall Greetings!

There is no frost around here but we have had pumpkins and Halloween. And we are looking forward to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with the Burress family. May you be as lucky. Here at Casa de las Campanas we are still enjoying this lifestyle of peerpetual cruising on a ship that doesnt rock. Ocasionaly we take "shore excursions" such as a trip to the mountains or the harbor or the booming downtown of San Diego

In July we had our Golden Wedding Aniversary. Lee and Sandy hosted a "picnic in the park" near the Organ Pavillion. There were many people there that we had known for more than those fifty years. In August Darb quietly noted his 95th.

We are now old hands at living here and continue to fiind more interesting ways to enjoy the place and the people. We are both members of the Library Committe, Louise is chairman of the Welcome committe and a member of the Marketing Committee and Darb is on the Building Committee.

We usually have dinner in the Norte Dining room, but occasionally go to the self serve buffet. In most cases we arrange to meet with people we have found interesting, and there are many here.

We keep in close touch with Sister Marietta by phone and letters and Lee visited her for a week between classes. He continues to teach some College classes for the Navy. Sandy has moved to a travel office that is just three minutes from home. We are glad when they have the time to drop by for a visit on week ends. And you would be welcome too.

We wish for you a fulfilling Thanksgiving,

a Merry Christmas,

and a Happy New Year

Love,

Darb and Louise
